One of the main goals of Russia's government, is to see a "collapse of Europe and an eradication of Western democratic values"
Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko, voiced this at the address at the "Future of Europe" congress of the European National Party in Malta, as reported by the Ukrainian government media office.
"The aim of the Kremlin is to divide Europe and subdue European values. While this aim is in existence, it is an illusion that the EU and Russia can work together. You can't become stronger with someone with the mindset of "all or nothing." The Kremlin has only one rule: Russia must be above all."
According to Poroshenko, Russia will do all it can to "tip Europe off the edge" and to build an "alternative Europe."
"Lets not let fear guide us - yet lets also not close our eyes to this. This is not a crisis of misunderstanding - its a crisis of two alternative concepts for Europe; freedom or tyranny. Only one can survive, in the end" - said Poroshenko to the delegates.
