Units of the Syrian Army have reestablished control over the key strategic town of Qaryatayn, located in the central province of Homs , following the two-week-long operation.
Backed by the Russian Air Force, Syrian Army first stormed the northern axis of the town in order to be able to enter it.
Later, the Army not only managed to enter Qaryatayn, it almost liberated the entire town after fierce clashes with ISIS terrorists.
According to military sources, the army units are clearing the last neighborhoods in town, with the final victory expected to be announced within the next 24 hours.
On October 2nd, ISIS terrorists captured Qaryatayn after launching a surprise attack from inside the town, thanks to their local sleeper cells in the first place.
