Russian Police told TASS news agency that there was a blast at the Sennaya Square metro station in St. Petersburg, however no official confirmation of the occurrence was given as of yet.
For now, no details or information on the casualties and causes are were provided by the authorities, however some reports on the casualties are already circulating through the world wide web.
Photos of people, escaping the damaged metro trains, caught in the smoke, have since emerged online.
