On the night of April 8th, Georgy Grechko, the 86 year old cosmonaut of the USSR, passed away. He was twice awarded 'Hero of Soviet Union'. As an engineer and cosmonaut, he participated in the development of the first Soviet satellites and interplanetary probes. This was reported by the magazine "Space News."
