On 11th April, President Trump signed an Act that ratifies Montenegro accession into NATO.
"We view this step as a reflection of inertia in the politics of the US" - comments Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "It creates rivalries on the European continent, new lines for division. Let us emphasise that the pulling of Montenegro into NATO does not take into account the actual views of the people of this Balkan country."
Alexei Zaitsev, Foreign Affairs Press Department, continues - "Millions of dollars are being pumped intothe puppet, pro-US NGOs in the country, in order to create the illusion of a wide spectrum of support for NATO. We note, that this move has the potential to destabilse the Balkans, and Europe as a whole."
