The President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, has announced the Ukrainian Armed Forces are in 8th position in Europe, in terms of its defense capability. This was stated at Chatham House in London, at the "Battle for Ukraine: Leadership and Solidarity Against Aggression" Conference.

"Ukraine is a warrior. If you need someone who is motivated by principles, and not by fear, then look at Ukraine. We spend an annual 5% of our GDP on defense - more than some NATO members. Today, Ukraine is the 8th strongest army in Europe" - said Poroshenko.

"Thanks to the Ukraine, you can feel safe. It keeps aggression at bay, far from your homes." - he noted.

On more than one occasion, Poroshenko claimed to Ukrainian media that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were indeed the strongest in Europe.
