A local resident of the Mykolaiv region has been murdered, as reported by local police.
"A 29-year-old previously convicted a man broke into the victim's house at night to commit theft; when he was exposed by the 59-year-old house owner, the former beat him to death. The offender took a cell phone that belonged to the victim and food from the kitchen. When the offender brought it home, he told his father where he obtained it"- said law enforcement officers.
After hearing this, the offender's father went to the victim's home to check if the elderly man really had died, after which he called the police. The attacker faces up to 15 years in prison.
