A Jordanian man was killed and two other people, a Jordanian and an Israeli, were wounded as a result of a shooting inside the building of the Israeli Embassy in the Jordanian capital city of Amman.
According to media reports, a 17-year-old Jordanian citizen reportedly entered the building of the Israeli embassy in the Rabia quarter of Amman where he allegedly stabbed an Israeli citizen.
Some sources said the Israeli guards fired at the Jordanian attacker immediately, and eventually ended up killing him, while others claim a Jordanian attacker was killed, and another Jordanian citizen and an Israeli security guard were wounded and have since been transferred to one of the hospitals in Amman, due to sustained injuries.
The exact motives behind the incident are not yet known. Some sources mention a “guerrilla operation” (a thing that has been dismissed by Jordanian security officials since), while others speak about a quarrel that eventually escalated into a violent confrontation.
Wounded Israeli citizen is said to be in critical condition.
