Despite recent advancements by the Syrian Army, life for civilians in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour is incredibly difficult as large parts of the province are still under ISIS occupation.
Today, 10 people were killed and 28 left injured after they were trying to escape from areas between Hasakeh and Deir Ez Zour provinces where ISIS is trying to spread its presence.
The Al Hikma hospital in the city of Hasakeh confirmed receiving at least 28 wounded people along with 10 bodies.
All of the victims were reportedly from the eastern town of Abu Kamal, and received their injuries after vehicles that were transporting them landed on mines, planted by ISIS terrorists at the junction of Abu Khashab village, located on the administrative border between Deir Ez Zour and Hasakeh provinces.
A 3-year-old girl and two women were among those injured.
