ISIS terrorists are losing the grip around Uqayribat, their last stronghold in the Syrian province of Hama.

Earlier today, Syrian military sources announced the expulsion of ISIS from the villages of Salba, Almukaymin Alshamaliye and Jannah Al Albawi, located in the eastern countryside of Hama province, as well as from several strategic hills in the region, noting that we are likely witnessing the last days of ISIS in Hama province.

According to the field reports, ISIS anticipated the advances of the Syrian Army to launch a counterattack on the areas yesterday liberated by the Syrian Army, in order to strengthen its defenses and release the pressure on its terrorists, with the final goal being preventing the Army from progressing towards Uqayribat, its very last stronghold in the province in Hama.

Although its attacks on military checkpoints, located between the axis of Wadi Al Atheeb and Sheikh Hilal in northeastern Hama countryside, ended up in vain, gunfire can still be heard in Hama province.

Terrorists reportedly wanted to create a loophole in the western countryside of Hama province and then leave through Al Salmiat to Athria, and from there to Idleb.

While attempting to attack, ISIS resorted to various types of weapons and even car bombs, especially on the front of Tahmas, located east of Uqayribat.

The terrorist group was, however, unable to get a foothold in the axes east, north and northwest of Uqayribat, as well as between the axes of Wadi Al Atheeb and Sheikh Hilal.
