Despite warnings, the US-led international “anti-ISIS” coalition is continuing to attack civilian areas in the northern Syrian city of Raqqah.
Only in the past 24 hours, 29 civilians, among them 9 women and 14 children, were killed.
Majority of the dead are said to be from the same family that has recently arrived in Raqqah in order to avoid fighting in the surroundings of Palmyra.
The atrocities were confirmed even by the US-backed so-called “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.”
The coalition representatives did not comment on the matter.
Over the past two weeks, several massacres of civilians by the coalition forces have devastated Syria.
On Saturday, 43 civilians lost their lives during bombardment of Raqqah, while many more others were left wounded.
The day before, coalition jets killed a woman and her seven children, also in Raqqah.
On the 2nd of August, the coalition jets carried out 44 raids in Raqqah alone, mostly targeting residential buildings in Al Imam Al Nouri Mosque and Al Thukneh neighborhoods in Al Badou quarter of Raqqah, killing dozens of people.
On the 1st of August, the coalition jets committed a massacre in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province, killing 60 people and injuring many more others.
