The Russian Defense Ministry has said that the Russian Air Force destroyed a convoy of ISIS terrorists that were heading to the eastern Syrian city of Deir Ez Zour.
According to the Ministry, the Russian jets raided a large movement of ISIS terrorists while they were traveling to the city of Deir Ez Zour, after previously being expelled by the Syrian and Russian Air Force from the areas south of Raqqa and west of Homs, killing 200 members of ISIS in the process.
The Ministry noted that the demise of ISIS in Deir Ez Zour would be a strategic defeat for the terrorist group and its presence in Syria.
Meanwhile, reports came that Syrian Army and Hezbollah took control over the town of Hamima, located in the eastern countryside of Homs province.
The liberation of the town came after fierce clashes with ISIS terrorists, during which, dozens of the terrorists were killed.
Engineering units of the Syrian Army have already been dispatched to the scene and are currenlty dismantling the landmines and IEDs, left over by terrorists.
In Raqqah, the Kurdish-led and US-backed so-called “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) made progress after taking control of Mansour district in the east of the city.
Their leadership, while confirming the progress, also said evacuation of civilians is currently slowed down a bit due to violent confrontations between SDF and ISIS taking place in residential areas.
In recent time, however, a sharp increase of violence against civilians by the US-led forces, has been spotted.
Only in the past 48 hours, at least two massacres were carried out in the provinces of Raqqah and Hasakeh, during which dozens of civilians were killed, after US-led coalition forces jets raided their villages.
