Units of a Syrian Army have made significant gains in the eastern Damascene suburban area of Jobar, following weeks of intense battles.
Led by the elite 42nd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division, the Army units eventually managed to break through Al Rahman Brigade’s defenses after finishing off last terrorists at the Al Manasher Roundabout (a key strategic point for the terrorists), earlier on Saturday morning.

With Al Manasher in its hands, the Army will now be able to move towards Tayba District, where it already clashed with Al Rahman terrorists once.
Meanwhile, in the province of Raqqah, Syrian Army and its allies continued with successful operations in the depths of the Syrian Desert.
Several night raids were carried out against ISIS positions in the area bordering the provinces of Homs and Raqqah.
The results were positive as the Army later established full control over Khirbet Makman, the town of Al Kadir town, and the village of Bei Al Rahoum.
Dozens of the terrorists were killed during the raids, in addition to destruction of 3 tanks, 17 machine-gun-equipped vehicles, 7 booby-trapped cars, and two tanks, while several artillery pieces were seized.
