Syrian forces managed to reach a prisoner swap deal with the Erdogan regime-backed terrorist group Jaysh Al Islam in the Damascene suburb of Eastern Ghouta.
The deal resulted in the release of 11 people (women including) who were previously abducted by the terrorist group.
Some of them were abducted at the very beginning of the Syrian conflict, with no information about them being given until now.
In an exchange, the Syrian Army had to release 28 Jaysh Al Islam jihadists.
The exchange, which was realized amid the Syrian Army operations in Eastern Ghouta, took place there and reportedly came within the scope of an agreement, reached in late July between the Syrian Army and Jaysh Al Islam, under supervision of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It is noteworthy that the terrorist group Jaysh Al Islam runs two large prisons, one of which is called the “Prison of Repentance”, where thousands of people, including those who were kidnapped at the very beginning of the Syrian crisis, are being held.
Some of the abducted are employees of the Syrian state and government institutions, while others are from the army and security forces, in addition to the presence of a very large number of women and children.
