In the occupied area near the village Popasnaya two soldiers of the 58th Brigade of the BSU deserted from combat, killing an officer and a ranker of their brigade who tried to stop them. This was reported by the official representative of the People's Militia of the Lugansk Peoples Republic Andrei Marochko.
"We are also continuing to record an increase in the number of offenses, and crimes committed in the so-called ATO zone, with a low psychological and moral state," he noted.
The lieutenant colonel said that during the [attempted] arrest of two soldiers of the 58th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who voluntarily left their post with their weapons, shooting broke out in the area of the settlement Popasnaya.
"During the shooting, the officer and the ranker who attempted to stop the deserters received wounds incompatible with life. The military prosecutor's office sent a commission to the unit, they are investigating, the fugitives have been put on the wanted list," he concluded.
