The total length of the proposed channel is 5 km. The author of the petition asserts that the construction of the channel will create new jobs and lead to a "breakthrough" for Ukrainian ports in the Azov and Black Seas.
"This is a win-win option from all points of view," the author of the appeal to Poroshenko noted.
At the moment, the petition has collected about 40 votes out of the 25 thousand, necessary to trigger consideration.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Poroshenko urged the European Union to start "an active policy aimed at returning the Crimea under the control of the Ukrainian authorities."
Let us note that in February, the RF Duma deputy from Crimea Ruslan Balbek stated that the inhabitants of the Crimea would be grateful to Poroshenko if he left the peninsula alone, as they well remember all sorts of "blockades" and other manifestations of "care" on the part of the Ukrainian authorities.
