"They declare our territory occupied, what are we supposed to do? They want to conduct a de-occupation. And the de-occupation of this territory implies the death of all those who voted in the referendum, voted for the head, the people's council, 2.5 million people.

The head of the DPR believes that the only way to stop hostilities is to grant independence to the Republics.
"We have 17-year-olds trying to break into the army for one simple reason - to avenge their brother and father. Well, this is a big problem, so the ideal option to gain independence." said Zakharchenko.
