Mass media stirred some panic in the Kherson region, due to reports of a breakthrough by a new Russian military helicopter Ka-52, from the Crimea.

The Russian "Alligator" allegedly flew unhindered 10 kilometers deep into Ukrainian territory. It was filmed on home video by eyewitnesses, however the Ukrainian military had not detected the occurrence.

The video of the "Alligator" has been examined and was found to be genuine, although it was not possible to determine the exact date of the video.

A source in a Russian law enforcement agency stated that, most likely, the scandal was blown up on the basis of old footage, in the spring of 2014, when military from Crimea visited the territory of the Kherson region, but then left, returning to the peninsula.

"The Ukrainian border is made up of holes, which was clearly demonstrated by the story of Saakashvili's  recent breakthrough. But, most likely, fake information about the Russian helicopter is propagated by those who want to make money on the introduction of a military administration in the Kherson region," said publicist Gennady Sivak.
