Not just the Russian Air Force, the Syrian Forces are now pounding the Kurdish positions in the east of Deir Ez Zour too.
Earlier on Monday, Kurdish online sources made several reports that the Syrian Army’s artillery is shelling defenses of the US-backed and Kurdish-led so-called “Syrian Democratic Forces.”
Based on reports, found at the official twitter account of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), Syrian Army’s artillery units, in conjunction with the Russian airstrikes, are targeting SDF positions around the Koniko oil field.
According to these sources, Syrian Army’s artillery bombardment consists of rocket and standard shelling attacks.
The reports cannot be independently verified and neither can be those about the Russian airstrikes that surfaced earlier.
Yesterday, a Russian Army general was killed in an ISIS shelling in Deir Ez Zour.
It is noteworthy that Russian Ministry of Defense recently published photos, proving that both, the US special forces and SDF terrorists stationed in Deir Ez Zour, can uninterruptedly move between ISIS sites.
