A US Armored Brigade, deployed in Poland, has lost a portion of the equipment that was delivered as part of a rotation of military units.
A US Army container was broken into while parked at a train station, from which around $55,000 worth of equipment was stolen. What kind of ammunition or explosives may have gone missing has not been revealed by the Polish military police.
According to some reports, night vision goggles and binoculars have also been taken - but the container was so large that the thieves could not take everything, leaving a significant amount of equipment behind.
To make security matters worse - nobody had realised the burglary had taken place until two days later.
