First woman without hijab enters former ISIS-stronghold in eastern Syria since 2012 - Like This Article

October 15, 2017 - Fort Russ News - Paul Antonopoulos

A local Facebook page, Al-mayadin today, has reported that the first unveiled woman has entered the city for the first time since 2012.

The Facebook post stated in Arabic that "The first woman has entered Mayadin without a Hijab since 2012 ... ISIS is gone and shall never come back".

It can be seen from the microphone that she is holding that she is a reporter for RT Arabic.

Yesterday Fort Russ News reported that Syrian forces have finally liberated Mayadeen, the de-facto capital of ISIS, located in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province, following week-long battles with ISIS terrorists.

The Free Syrian Army first captured the city from government forces in August 2012 before ISIS captured it in July 2013.
