The Syrian Forces have taken control over new areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province.

After securing most of the town of Mayadeen, the capital of ISIS, army units established control over Al Rahbeh citadel (an important heritage site) ,the Artillery battalion, Al Shibli Farms and the grain siloses, located southwest of Deir Ez Zour city.

Scores of ISIS terrorists, including a large number of suicide bombers, were killed and, 3 booby-trapped vehicles were destroyed.

Engineering units of the Syrian Army have begun dismantling land mines and explosives, left over by ISIS terrorists in Mayadeen.

The Army has also proceeded with its operations on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River where it established control over new areas in Hatla village and the nearby water plant, inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in terms of personnel and equipment, as several ISIS gatherings and fortified positions were destroyed when the Army was heading towards Al Siyasiyeh Bridge area.

In addition, Syrian Air Force and artillery units carried out intense strikes on ISIS strongholds in the villages of Al Jneiniyeh and Al Husseiniyeh, and other areas in Deir Ez Zour countryside, killing a large number of ISIS terrorists and destroying their vehicles.

Meanwhile, Syrian forces took control over two strategic hills in southwestern countryside of Damascus province as part of the Beit Jinn siege.
