The Kremlin has questioned the authenticity of conclusions and sources produced by the US consultancy firm, Soufan Center, that nearly 3,500 Russian citizens are members of ISIS in Syria.
"The Kremlin rather tends to doubt the authenticity of that claim," presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media.
The Soufan Center claimed that Russia had become the main source of foreign fighters to ISIS, without citing any sources or methodology.
The Center also claimed that 3,417 militants of Russian descent were fighting for ISIS.
