And again the battle: in the Rada they fight over the Donbass
During the consideration of the draft laws on the "reintegration of Donbass" the Verkhovna Rada deputies staged a fight.
As the Ukrainian edition of Obozrevatel reports, it all started with the fact that deputies from "Self-help" and several non-factional deputies blocked the presidium of the parliament. When other deputies tried to stop them, there was a fight.
Speaker of the Parliament Andrei Paruby had to suspend the meeting by announcing a break. He invited the heads of the factions to negotiate, while the people's deputies continued to block the presidium.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov accused the instigators of the fight of not wanting to recognize Russia as an "aggressor." He did not have time to say anything more: at that moment the People's Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko ran to the podium and simply snatched the microphone from Turchinov.
Earlier in the day, Savchenko started a squabble with deputy Yuri Bereza at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security. During the discussion of the bill on the reintegration of Donbass, she advised not making "people's enemies" out of the people fighting in the southeast. Bereza demanded that she "shut her mouth."
As a result, because of scandals and fights, the Rada was never able to consider bills on the reintegration of Donbass and on the extension of the special status for the region. The Parliament will continue the hearings on Friday.
As reported by Pravda, all references to the Minsk agreements were withdrawn from the bill on "reintegration of Donbass" submitted by Poroshenko from the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Security and Defense.
It is a question of the seventh article of the document, "On the specifics of the state policy on ensuring the state sovereignty of Ukraine over the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions." The article mentioned the priority of the provisions of the Minsk agreements in terms of ensuring security.
