Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu have discussed the Syrian issue, stressing the need to continue with talks and negotiations between the conflicting sides.
In its statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Lavrov held a phone conversation with Cavusoglu earlier today.
The two sides reiterated their determination to continue efforts to push forward peace talks between the Syrian government and the so-called armed opposition.
The ministers exchanged views in the context of the seventh session of international talks on the settlement of the Syrian crisis in Kazakh capital city of Astana, and which began on Monday.
