Reports have emerged that the Russian military have take over an airbase controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern Syria.
According to the source, it was the Mennagh Airbase in northeast Aleppo countryside that the Russians took.
According to the same source, the US-backed SDF handed over the base to the Russians after negotiations.
Details of the agreement are not fully known at this time.
Before the SDF assumed controlled of the airbase, it was taken from the Syrian Army in an operation led and coordinated by a joint ISIS-Free Syrian Army forces in 2013.
