Lugansk, Novorossia, October 29. The observance of the cease-fire regime over the past 24 hours by the Ukrainian side testifies to the decision of the commanders of the VSU on the ground there not to execute the criminal orders of Kiev. This was announced today at a briefing by the spokesman for the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko.
"Over the past day, Ukrainian security officials for the first time since the "school armistice" adhered to peace agreements and commitments, and did not open fire on the territory of the republic," he said.
"The People's Militia of the Lugansk People's Republic welcomes the decision of the APU command on the ground, not to carry out the criminal orders of Kiev and hopes that peace will soon come and the blood of the people will not be shed," the defense official added.
"In turn, for its part, the People's Militia of the Lugansk Peoples Republic also respects the obligations it has undertaken, and is doing everything to restore peace to the Donbass as soon as possible," Marachko added.
Earlier today in the People's Militia, the LPR reported that over the past day there had been no firing from the VSU.
