Despite the tragic loss of Brigadier General Issam Zahreddine, the Syrian Army have continued their drive against ISIS in eastern Syria by smashing the terrorist organisation and liberating news towns.
Yesterday, Fort Russ News reported the liberation of Al-Zebari and Khasham town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province.
In today's battles against ISIS in this part of Syria, pro-government forces have liberated Mahkan and al-Quriyah towns to the south of Mayadeen city.
Syrian forces are now making preparations now to storm al-'Ashara area.
This is all part of the greater plan to liberate the entirety of the Euphrates river to the Syria-Iraq border where they hope to meet Iraqi forces who are also running an operation to remove ISIS from the border region.
