The Russian Defense Ministry today revealed that the US side allowed 600 jihadists (ISIS terrorists among them) to be relocated to the west of Syria, thus obviously trying to turn the its base in Al Tanf Syrian-Jordanian border area into a “terrorist black hole”, a thing that gravely violates the international law.
A spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov said today that the Russian side warned its American colleagues that turning the Al Tanf base on the Syrian-Jordanian border into a terrorists black hole is illegal.
Konashnenkov noted that a convoy of vehicles, carrying about 600 jihadists recently took off from Al Tanf area and headed towards the west of Syria, while the US military was only watching.
He called on the American side to provide an explanation for the sudden relocation of the jihadists, carried out under the auspices of its military.
As a result of this relocation, the Ministry expects that de-escalation zone agreement for the south of Syria will soon be thwarted.
“Given the seriousness of the US support for the jihadists, especially the Revolutionary Commando Army which has already received the blessing of the United States, it is not necessary to be an expert to conclude that the southern Syria truce agreement will soon be derailed”, he said.
The Russian Defense Ministry noted that the US side will fully bear responsibility for allowing the peace process in Syria to become sabotaged in that case.
