Earlier today it was reported by Fort Russ News that the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the start of a military operation in the northwestern Syrian province of Idlib with the aim of “restoring stability and security”.
“There is a serious operation going on in Idlib at the moment and will continue until further notice,” Erdogan said during the 26th semi-annual “consultation and assessment camp” of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) on Saturday, adding that the operation aims to restore Idlib’s security and stability.
Fort Russ News has now obtained photos and a video of the unnamed operation being launched into Idlib.
The following photos show Turkish forces with artillery being prepared along the Syrian border in Turkey's Hatay province.
A video also emerged of the residents of Reyhanli in Hatay province applauding the deployment of Turkish tanks ahead of the Idlib operation.

Idlib is considered the stronghold of anti-Syrian government forces with the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Nusra Front being the most prominent and powerful of these militants.
It is worth highlighting that Turkey was the biggest sponsor of these jihadist forces since the beginning of the Syrian War in 2011.
