A young Syrian woman named Qamar Al Saleh was yesterday martyred while dismantling a land mine that was left over by ISIS terrorists in the village of Al Barghouthiah, located in the eastern countryside of Hama province.

She was a member of the engineering team of the National Defence Forces (NDF), Syria’s largest paramilitary group, consisting of many volunteers, and which helps the Syrian Army and its allies in fighting off the terrorists.

Although the Syrian Army’s campaign against ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Hama is said to be over since last week, some terrorists still lurk in the area, in addition to the hundreds of the land mines and explosives left over by them.
