JARABLUS, Syria - Former Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) spokesperson Talal Sillo has defected after crossing into territory in Syria held by the Turkish military and its jihadist allies, according to Al-Sura News.
He managed to escaped the Kurdish-led SDF alongside "Turkish and Syrian friends" who helped facilitate his escape, the report continued.
He had escaped to the border town of Jarablus in northern Aleppo province that was captured by the Turkish military and its Syrian jihadist allies from ISIS in August 2016.
Al-Sura News also published the first photo of what it says is the former SDF spokesperson entering Turkish Intelligence vehicles.
The reason for his defection is not yet known.
