DAMASCUS, Syria. The Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Diaz reassured his country’s staunch support for Syria amid its war on terror.
During Wednesday’s meeting with the Syrian Ambassador Idris Mayya in Havana, Diaz congratulated the Syrian Army for its victories against ISIS and other terrorist groups.
He also affirmed his country’s determined position as regards respecting Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and the right of its people to self-determination and deciding their future without any foreign pressure of interference.
In turn, the Syrian Ambassador gave a brief review of the latest developments in Syria, pointing out the major victories of the Syrian Army.
The two also talked about boosting the already friendly ties between Cuba and Syria and increasing coordination and cooperation in as many fields as possible.
