ALEPPO, Syria - A new sneak peak of "Evading Destiny", a film about the infamous 13 month Aleppo central prison siege, has been released with English subtitles.
The Aleppo prison siege saw Al-Qaeda linked jihadist groups, along with the supposed moderate Free Syrian Army, surround the prison in 2013 and 2014 that was held by the Syrian Army.
Along with the approximate 4,500 prisoners, the Syrian Army had minimal food, water, medical supplies and arms.
The siege was finally ended on October 20, 2014 when the Syrian Army backed by Hezbollah and other allies lifted the siege on the prison.
The heroism presented by the Syrian Army during the lengthy siege has been a story of inspiration, and the new film sets to explore the important theme.
