Despite the Israeli bombardment earlier today, Syrian forces did not stop with their advancements against the terrorists.
In the province of Deir Ez Zour, army units established control over Talat Hassan and a number of strategic points, following intense clashes with ISIS terrorists, west of Liwa Al Tamin, located on the southern axis of Deir Ez Zour city. The army also targeted ISIS supply routes in the surrounding areas of Liwa Al Tamin, killing 11 terrorists and injuring many more. Operations in the cemetery areas continued with heavy losses being inflicted upon ISIS terrorists as a result of the special operations.
New efforts were made in Daraa province. In Al Karak neighbourhood of Daraa Al Balad area, army units destroyed gatherings, machine-gun barricades and two command and surveillance centers, belonging to the terrorist group Al Nusra Front. In addition, Syrian forces carried out intense strikes against their positions in Al Naziheen and Al Abasiyeh neighborhoods and Al Masri roundabout, leaving dead or injured scores of the terrorists.
The army also continued with anti-Nusra operations in the northern countryside of Homs. Strikes were carried out against infiltration points and gatherings in Kisin village, located next to Al Houla. Several terrorists were killed and a vehicle, carrying rocket launcher, was destroyed. In the eastern countryside of Homs, an abandoned airbase was captured.
In Qaboun, the embattled district of Damascus, army made new gains by killing scores of terrorists and gaining control over several more buildings, using heavy artillery fire. Later, the army experts were called to Jaramana district of Damascus to dismantle an explosive device, planted by terrorists near the court building.
Some 50 terrorists, mostly from the Free Syrian Army and the 1st Coastal Division, surrendered themselves to the Syrian forces after they rose white flags from their positions in the countryside of Lattakia province.
