Syrian Forces have made new gains in the northern countryside of Hama province.

On Saturday, activists based in the town of Salamiyeh, said Syrian Army liberated Tal Aswad and the village of Oum Al Haratayn, located in the northern countryside of Hama province, following intense clashes with Al Nusra Front and the aligned terrorist groups, during which scores of the terrorists were killed and their equipment destroyed.

In addition, the Army has reportedly managed to secure Maan-Tulaysiyah road  after pushing out terrorists to the nearby Atshan.

Earlier in the week, Al Nusra Front and Erdogan’s Uyghur terrorists wanted to carry out a major-scale assault on Syrian Army positions in the northern countryside of Hama province. Their attempts ended badly as they were faced with severe loses dealt by the Syrian Army.

The Russian Defense Ministry later issued a statement, saying the Al Nusra Front-led assault was likely provoked by the US intelligence in order to stop the advancements of the Syrian Army in the east of Deir Ez Zour province.
