In Retaliation for the Saturday’s terrorist attack, carried out by Al Nusra-linked Fateh Al Sham Front in the heavily guarded Ghouta and Mahatta neighbourhoods in the Syrian city of Homs which claimed 42 lives, the Syrian forces launched more than 20 airstrikes on the Al Waar district, killing scores of terrorists.

AL Waar is the only part of Homs that remained under terrorist control after Syrian Army liberated the city back in May 2014. From time to time, the terrorists stationed in Al Waar would launch rocket attacks on the residential areas of Homs, causing casualties and material damage.

Aside from pounding Al Waar, the Syrian and Russian Air Force also carried out more than 30 airstrikes in a joint operation in Idleb province.

Meanwhile SANA’s correspondent in Homs reported that terrorists located in Ein Hassoun village, east of Homs city opened sniper fire on the residents of Oum al-Dananir village, killing one female resident. The terrorists also shelled Al Zahraa district of Homs, injuring 6 people (including a child) and causing material damage.

In Aleppo, a child was killed and six other people were injured after a device which was left over by the terrorists exploded in Al Azamiya neighbourhood. The device was from the time before the Syrian Army liberated the area.
