The blasts began to be heard after 11.30 am, first isolated, then increasingly frequent and heavy as we approached Kominternovo. While we were there we heard many shells falling near us or flying over our heads.
Because of the incessant bombings, we had to interrupt the distribution of humanitarian aid, and give the remaining packets to the local Kominternovo aid worker.
One of the shells struck our road to Kominternovo just 10 minutes after our passage. On the way back we saw a huge hole on the side of the road as we moved, for safety's sake, at full speed.
In each dwelling we visited we could see holes made by mortar or artillery shells, AK-74 bullets, BMP-1 projectile remains and shrapnel, which had fallen that very morning or the day before.
All these houses are far from the positions of the army of the DPR, therefore nothing justifies their bombing by the Ukrainian army. New war crimes committed by Ukrainian soldiers who have nothing to do with the people they bombard, and that they claim they have come "to liberate."
In the last 24 hours, the Ukrainian army has bombed the Donetsk People's Republic more than 500 times, including the Mayorsk and Oktyabr crossing points, while civilians were there, fortunately with no casualties. Elsewhere, small arms fire killed one of the DPR army's soldiers.
In Kominternovo, all the inhabitants told us that the bombing of the Ukrainian army takes place daily, day and night. For almost three years, the Ukrainian army has not given any respite to the people who live there.
