Terrorists Attack Residential Areas of Damascus - Like This Article

Terrorist struck Bab Msallah square in central Damascus, Syria’s capital city. The exact number of casualties is not yet known. Conflicting accounts about the attack are currently circulating. According to some, an improvised explosive device was placed under a bus, carrying pilgrims. Other sources, however, claim that the attack was caused by a suicide bomber who hid himself among the public. No official statement has been made so far and no responsibility for the attack was claimed as of yet. 

Since early morning, terrorist groups are firing rocket-propelled grenades and mortars at the residential areas of Damascus, that resulted in several civilian casualties.

A source at the Damascus Police Command told that the terrorists fired rocket-propelled grenades and mortars at the Shaghour, Sakba and Bab Touma neighbourhoods, located in Damascus’s old city, earlier on Saturday morning. Several people were reportedly injured, in addition to the material damage caused to the public and private property.

Damascus has been under terrorists fire for the past two days due to Syrian military gains in Al Qaboun.

A residential building, located behind the Dar Al Shifa hospital in the residential neighborhood of Al Adawi was yesterday hit by a rocket-propelled grenade, causing material damage. The terrorists stationed in Qaboun district of Eastern Ghouta are believed to be behind the attack.
