The Donetsk water treatment plant today is now back in operation after a week's downtime due to lack of electricity.
"Today at 13.20 the Donetsk filtering station has been put into operation," the press service of the water treatment plant reported.
Drinking water will flow into the reservoirs of Donetsk, Yasinovataia, adjacent villages, and Avdeevka, temporarily occupied by Ukrainian militia, after the last technological work is nailed down.
Recall that on March 29, the filter station was de-energized as a result of shelling by Ukrainian units. Fire damaged the power transmission lines and the electrical substation feeding the Donetsk Water Treatment Plant.
Electricity came back on line to the plant the night before.
