Violent clashes erupted in the Yemeni province of Taiz earlier on Sunday between the Hadi regime junta and the Yemeni Popular Resistance Forces, led by the Houthi rebels and forces, loyal to the former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

The clashes come in the wake of a Saudi-led coalition struggle to reach the strategically important Khaled Bin Walid military camp. Saudi forces continue to conduct airstrikes on the camp and the Hadi loyalists are gearing-up for a major-scale assault on this strategically important site.

Lots of Saudi and many Sudanese soldiers (the latter were part of the Emirati convoy), were killed in a friendly fire when Saudi Air Forces struck Mukha, located west of the province of Taiz.

More than 20 Hadi loyalists were also killed during clashes with the resisting Yemenis in the Sirwah District, located west of Marib.

In Saada province, Saudi-led coalition aircrafts launched series of airstrikes on the Al Subhan area in the Baqim district, located at the very north of the province, causing no injuries or fatalities.

Meanwhile in Jizan, Saudi Arabia, military sources confirmed that several Saudi soldiers and Hadi loyalists were left dead or wounded after the Houthi-led resistance movement fired Katyusha rockets at their military posts. Three Saudi soldiers were also killed by Yemeni snipers in Al Mahrouq and Al Fawwaz, located near the border town of Najran.
