Today at 13.00, the Ukrainian army shelled the town of Dokuchaevsk in the DNR, hitting Kindergarten #11. There were children inside at the time of the shelling, but no children were hurt as a result. The subsequent fire was put out soon after the occurrence.
Earlier in the day, an apartment block burnt down on 1 Zhelezdonorozhnaya Street.
According to Deputy Defense Minister of the DNR, Eduard Basurin, the Ukrainian army has once again come in close encirclement to the Dontesk filtration station. Their positions are around 170m away. "We had a chance to take the station under control, but understood that the enemy would do all it could to destroy the plant" says Basurin.
Throughout the Donbass conflict, around 370 hits have been recorded on the filtration plant, out of which the station was forced to stop working on 40 different occasions. In February of this year, the chlorine tank was hit. Specialists have stated that the de-chlorination of the water filtration processes can cause an ecological catastrophe not only in Donetsk, but also towns under Kiev's control nearby.
Today's shelling of a kindergarten, in a settlement not far from Gorlovka, shows no sign of the Ukrainian army's desire to cease the conflict.
