The Crimean Peninsula has suffered a mass power outage. Traffic lights are not going in the streets of Simferopol, grocery stores are closed. Large infrastructure facilities are connected to standby power supplies.
The peninsula was left without electricity at about 14.00 today. Lack of power was confirmed in Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yalta, Kerch, Feodosia, Sudak, Bakhchisaray, Krasnoperekopsk and other cities.
Reasons for the power failure are being investigated.
