Backed by the Syrian Air Force, units of the Syrian Army, carried out new batch of operations, mainly focused on gatherings of ISIS terrorists in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour.
According to the field reports, heavy losses were inflicted upon ISIS terrorists in terms of personnel and equipment when they got hit at the southern and southwestern axis of Deir Ez Zour city, the surrounding areas of Deir Ez Zour Airport, the neighborhoods of Knamat, Miaabar Knamat and Hwaijet Sakar in Deir Ez Zour city, and in the surrounding areas of Al Panorama.
Dozens of the terrorists were killed and their vehicles destroyed.

Among the killed terrorists was also one of the key provincial leaders of ISIS, named Khaled Al Naser. According to military sources, he was killed during airstrikes on the village of Albu Omar, located 5 km east of Deir Ez Zour city.
Aside from fleeing, ISIS terrorists continue to shell residential areas in Deir Ez Zour.
Earlier on Monday, neighborhoods of Al Joura, Al Qosour and Al Muwazafin in Deir Ez Zour city were hit, though only material damage was caused.
