Khaled Al Khatib, Syrian correspondent of RT and an occasional contributor for Sputnik, was martyred today after coming under the terrorist fire, while covering the operations of the Syrian Army in the eastern countryside of Palmyra.
According to the field reports, Khaled Al Khatib was martyred during the coverage of the operations of the Syrian Army against the gathering of ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of the village of Baghiliya, located south of Jubb Al Jarrah.
He died after a rocket hit the RT convoy.
He was born in Salamiya and held a degree in media studies from the American University of Beirut.
