Forces of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) have announced the end of combing and clearing of four districts north of Dujail district in the Iraqi Salah ad Din province, that were liberated from ISIS.
“Popular Mobilization Units and the Iraqi Army divisions, operating in Samarra, have successfully completed combing and clearing the areas of Sayyid Gharib Al Gharbiya, Albu Alul, Farahatiya and Rafayat, located north of Dujail district, following clashes with ISIS terrorists” a PMU statement read.
Meanwhile, Qassim Musleh, the commander of the Popular Mobilization Units in Anbar province, said his forces began to provide cover for the recently liberated Akashat area, located west of Anbar, so that it won’t fall in the hands of ISIS terrorists.
Musleh said his forces are about 10 kilometers away from Qaim and Rawah districts, both located west of Anbar, pointing out that the town of Qaim, as well as the area of Rawah, are the only places left to be liberated in the west of Iraq.
