Bomb rips through Shia area of Baghdad, kills at least a dozen people - Like This Article

At least a dozen people have been killed and a further 28 injured after a blast ripped through the Jamila market area in eastern Baghdad.

An Iraqi police officer revealed that it was an explosive-laden vehicle that ripped through the market area in the predominately Shi'ite Sadr City district of Baghdad.

No group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack, but it is assumed to be the work of ISIS who only yesterday were completely defeated in Tal Afar, one of their last remaining strongholds in northern Iraq.

It spelled a difficult two days for the terrorist group as they lost this stronghold, a huge pocket in central Syria and were completely expelled from the Lebanese-Syrian border.
