Units of the Syrian Army, operating in the eastern countryside of the central province of Homs, have made new advancements.
Earlier on Wednesday, a control was established over five towns, previously under control of ISIS.
A military source in the Syrian Army confirmed that units of Army and the aligned groups, engaged in clashes with ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs province, during which they managed to establish control of the towns of Zagroutiyeh, Darwishiyeh, Lwaibdeh, Ghuniman, and Oum Sagh, located north of Manoukh in Jeb Al Jarrah area.
The source added that the army units eliminated a large number of ISIS terrorists, and destroyed their weapons, ammunition stockpiles and equipment, including armored vehicles and cars equipped with different types of machine guns.
Engineering units of the Syrian Army have been already dispatched to the scene and are currently dismantling the mines and explosive devices in urban areas, left over by ISIS terrorists.
