The Syrian Army in conjunction with pro-government Liwaa Fatemiyoun militia have made rapid advancements against ISIS and towards the war ravaged city of Deir Ezzor, according to Al-Masdar News.
The report explained that the elite Tiger Forces and the 5th Legion of the Syrian Army liberated Tal al-Abd and al-Hera en route to Deir Ezzor, while another unit of the Syrian Army took Jabal Nazerat, Jabal Nairaman and Jabal Admah.
The Al-Masdar News report continued to explain that the Syrian Army are now only 16km from Al-Shoula village, and 25km from Deir Ezzor city where it is expected intense battles will occur between government forces and ISIS.
