Pro-opposition sources have claimed that a deal has been made where the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) will hand over control of a town in northern Aleppo countryside to Turkish-backed militants.
The town in question Tell Rifaat, was captured by Kurdish-led forces on 15 February 2016 after a barrage of Russian airstrikes destroyed ISIS positions, and has since been controlled by the Army of Revolutionaries.
The hand over on the administration of the town, which had a prewar population of 20,000, comes as the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a safe zone near Tell Rifaat.
